I'm in my early 20s, when should I start using anti-aging creams?

Pam's Answer:

There are many factors that affect the aging of your skin.  Genetics is the primary factor that influences how your skin ages.  Stress, unhealthy lifestyle, smoking, lack of sleep, and sun exposure all affect the health of your skin. My first bit of advice is to make sure you’re wearing a moisturizer  with a broad-spectrum SPF of at least 15 and 30, if possible. Protecting your skin from the sun helps reduce wrinkles and unsightly "sun spots" otherwise known as hyperpigmentation.   It is also important to re-apply your sunscreen every 2 hours, particularly when you are going to be outside for long periods of time.  Even on a cloudy day, you are also getting incidental exposure to harmful UV rays as you come and go throughout the day, so I recommend wearing your sunscreen everyday, regardless of the weather!   Secondly, for most skin types, I would suggest that you do begin to use an anti-aging serum, an eye creme, and also a night creme, in your early twenties.  Your skin will thank you in years to come for maintaining a good skincare regimen that includes reparative and rejuvenating ingredients to strengthen, nourish and protect it!
