A Fresh Start for Great Skin!

I love the start of the New Year!   There's something about the opportunity to have a fresh new start that is inspiring!  It's a great time to set new goals in all areas of your life, including your commitment to take care of yourself and your skin.   

Let's start with some basic skincare fundamentals to help you improve the health and appearance of your skin.  Did you know that if you're not cleansing your skin correctly it can cause your other skincare products to not be as effective?   Follow these 5 Simple Steps to proper cleansing, the beginning of great skin:  

1.  Always Cleanse at night. If you have extremely dry skin, you may rinse your skin in the morning, all other skin types should cleanse in morning, also.

2.  Apply small amount of cleanser to face, neck and décolleté area.   

3.  Lightly massage into skin for about 1 minute.

4.  Beginning with the eye area, then continuing over entire face, neck and décolleté areas, gently remove cleanser using a clean white cloth or gauze.

5.  Repeat cleanse of face, neck and decollete areas. Rinse cloth thoroughly and wipe skin again.  You should not need to cleanse your eye area again, unless there is residual makeup in that area.  No dirt or makeup should appear on cloth after your second cleanse.  Pat skin dry.
