5-Minute Nighttime Skin Regimen

Does a Nighttime Regimen really make a difference?

Your skin is bombarded with aging factors all day long from pollution to sun exposure. Your skin also is exposed to a lot of impurities from a full day of life as a human on the planet.

Your skin wants to repair and renew itself at night. That’s why getting a proper amount of rest is important. Giving your skin all that it needs and wants to repair, rebuild and renew overnight is also a key element to a healthy lifestyle, from which you will reap many benefits.  

Taking care of your skin with an effective nighttime skin care regimen is actually super easy!  A good nighttime skin care regimen should include products that cleanse the skin, promote cellular turnover, strengthen and hydrate the skin cells. For many of us this can be a multi-step plan, and when it’s combined with some other good self-care elements – it can be very relaxing as well.  

At first it can seem overwhelming to try to learn a new regimen, but once you get the hang of it, your nighttime regimen should take no more than 3-5 minutes!

Here are 5 helpful tips to make your nighttime regimen easy:


  1. Create a space. Have a regular space in your bathroom where you can have your skincare products easily accessible.
  2. Give yourself permission to take a few minutes for some self-care.
  3. Wet your face and apply your cleanser. Take some deep breaths and think about something positive as you lightly massage your cleanser into your entire face and neck area, using small circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and gently skin dry with a towel.
  4. Apply serums, one at a time, and lightly massage them into skin of face and neck, and gently “dotting” under the eye area.

 5. Apply your nighttime moisturizer and gently massage into your face and neck area.

After you have finished your 5-minute nighttime regimen, not only will your skin look and feel better, but you will likely feel better as you'll know that you've done something that is good for you, and a part of a healthy lifestyle, as well. You're also likely to feel more relaxed and ready for a good night’s sleep!
