Together We Made A Difference - Thank You!

A few weeks ago I was attempting to come up with an interesting skincare tip to write about in my monthly email and blog, but I just kept drawing a blank.

At the same time I was so saddened by the war in Ukraine and its devastating impact on the people in that country and region.  I also have clients and a friend and co-worker from Ukraine who have family who are still in Ukraine, which made it even more personal.  I was motivated to do something to help in a tangible way. 

I learned long ago to not be limited by small-minded thinking, which can lead a person to believe that they alone can not make a significant difference.  Even though at times what we are able to do may seem small, especially when the need is great, the truth is that together we can make a big difference!

So I decided to donate 5% of Charisma Skin’s product sales from 3/19/22 through 4/1/22 to help support the humanitarian relief efforts for the people of Ukraine.  Thank You to my clients, who responded in an amazing way!  Last month we were able to donate $175.00 to a non-profit called Daily Hope which has helped to provide the following:

• Transportation to take people out of Ukraine and to safety

• Food and shelter for refugees

• Humanitarian supplies to refugees and to those still in Ukraine

This morning I happened to read something that provided a good analogy to the concept that “together we can make a difference”.Here’s that excerpt:

“Picture this: Each of us is like a snowflake. On your own, you can’t make a big difference. However, when one fragile snowflake sticks with a lot of other snowflakes, they can stop traffic. Like snowflakes, we can make a big difference when we work together, each one of us doing our part.”

Together we made a difference!  Thank you!
